Over 1.6 billion single-use plastic bags are being used by Kiwis every year – that’s about 350 for each person.

Supermarkets Countdown and New world announced last year that they plan to stop using plastic bags by the end of 2018.

Radio broadcasting student Lee-Andria asked the people of Auckland for their thoughts on banning plastic bags:
