Barry Holland is a legendary broadcaster with a career spanning over five decades. He is a well-known radio personality, specialising in sports presenting and news reading. He has spent most of his career at Newstalk ZB.

He has hosted television shows such as Break 21 in the 1970’s, Top Town, Superstar Series and On the Mat.

Although Holland has retired from ZB he is still active within the industry as he mentors young journalists and broadcasters. He is also voice coaching students at the New Zealand Radio Training School.

Barry, 71, will receive the Companion of the New Zealand Order of Merit in October for his contribution to broadcasting.

Imogen is an aspiring broadcaster who has recently relocated from the Manawatu to the big smoke to further her education. She is working towards a Diploma in Broadcasting and Journalism at the NZ Radio Training School.
