Two buses collided on the corner of Wellesley and Kitchener Street in Auckland’s CBD this morning.
One person was injured in the head.
A police officer at the scene, Sergeant Dylan Hannah-Jones, said: “One bus was stationary at the intersection of Wellesley and Kitchener Street, and another bus has unfortunately failed to see the stationary bus in front of him and just run into the back.”
He added: “Just as a general comment to drivers out there, especially at rush hour, is you must pay attention. Make sure you keep those following distances but just be alert, be awake. If the light’s red, make sure you stop in time.”
