Australian Rugby Union has shown their support and high hopes for the Wallabies by placing a $A300,000 ($NZ321,000) bet for them to win the Rugby World Cup.

The Wallabies face the All Blacks in the final at Twickenham on Sunday morning our time.

The Wallabies are the only team to have beaten the All Blacks this year and the Rugby World Cup has never been won back to back.

The Wallabies team are set to gain a $A100,000 ($NZ107,000) bonus if they beat the All Blacks.

The All Blacks team will earn a $150,000 bonus for winning the final. If New Zealand lose the final and take home the silver medal, their bonus will dip to $35,000 for each player.

The Australian team and the Australian media are taking no chances and are using off the field tactics to gain whatever edge they can against the current world cup holders.

They are not using the team name the “All Blacks” and are referring to them as just “New Zealand”.

All Blacks Captain Richie McCaw has also faced some criticism at the hands of the Australian Media, he was featured on the front page of the Daily Telegraph. They Photoshopped his head onto a bug’s body and he was referred to as “Richetty Grubb.”

The All Blacks aren’t taking anything for granted but are staying calm before the final with Steve Hansen saying, “We will go into this game this weekend really hungry for a performance.”

The All Blacks have a training day today and will name their team early Friday morning.
